In your own referenced words and using referenced quotes describe what is meant by strategic leadership

According to the source from Lynch, R (2009) 5 th Ed. Strategic Management, FT Prentice Hall, pg599 strategic leadership has been defined as   “ Strategic leadership is the ability to shape the organization’s decision and deliver high value overtime , not only personally but also by inspiring and managing others in the organization “

In other words it is the ability of a person who utilizes strategy in the management of fellow employees and influencing them to execute organizational change. These can be done either by inspiring or just by man management skills 

Identify two interesting similarities and two difference between 5 elements of successful and effective strategic model and transcendent model

Similarities	Differences
1.       Both styles focus on the overall achievement of goals set by the  organization       2.       For both styles, the leaders will be  responsible for communicating ,selecting inspiring the employees	1.       More focus on non human material such as strategy, structure, rules etc in  transcendent leadership. Whereas 5elements focuses on selection of key talent human resources         2.       Relationship in transcendent focuses only between leader and follower whereas in 5elements , the relationship is focused on all the stakeholders both internal and external.
